Mystical Spirits is a video slot game played on a 6-reel, 5-row grid. This configuration offers up to 15,625 ways to win. Wins are achieved by landing three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.
The game features a variety of symbols:
- Low-Paying Symbols: These include the standard card ranks Q, K, and A, alongside symbols representing the elements of Leaf, Water, and Fire.
- Premium Symbols: Three character symbols, each representing a mystical spirit of Leaf, Water, and Fire, offer higher payouts. The Elemental Character premium symbols are the most valuable.
- Wild Symbol: The Wild symbol can substitute for all other symbols except the Scatter symbol to help form winning combinations. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.
- Scatter Symbol: Landing four or more Scatter symbols (also known as Free Spins symbols) anywhere on the reels triggers the Free Spins feature.
Mystical Spirits incorporates several dynamic mechanics:
- Collapsing Reels: After any win, the symbols involved in the winning combination are removed from the reels. New symbols then fall from above to fill the vacant positions, potentially creating further wins. This cascading process continues as long as new winning combinations are formed.
- Multiplier Collection System: Below the main reels, there are three multiplier collection slots, colored Red, Blue, and Green. At the start of each spin in the base game, these multipliers are set to 1x. When winning combinations occur, the winning symbols are collected into their corresponding colored slots. For every five winning symbols of a specific color gathered, that color’s multiplier increases by 1. The total win for a spin is then multiplied by the product of all three active multiplier values. These multipliers reset to 1x at the conclusion of each base game spin.
- Free Spins Feature: This bonus round is activated by landing four Scatter symbols, which awards 12 free spins. Any additional Scatter symbol beyond the initial four grants an extra two free spins. A key enhancement in the Free Spins feature is that the Red, Blue, and Green multiplier meters each start at 2x instead of 1x. This means that all wins during the free spins begin with at least an 8x combined multiplier (2x * 2x * 2x). The Free Spins feature can also be retriggered by landing additional Scatter symbols during the bonus round.
